Friends Of Nature Cyprus
Friends of Nature Cyprus was formed as a bi-communal NGO in 2005. Mehvesh Beyidoglou is the president of the NGO. She is a freelance consultant and research director for Library and Archive at Multiperspectivity and Intercultural Dialogue in Education.

Dr. Iris Charalambidou is FoNC treasurer. She is a Research fellow at the Unit of Environmental studies, affiliated with the University of Nicosia. She coordinates bi-communal projects on ornithological and biodiversity research and conservation. She has worked in ecological research and nature conservation in Greece, Wales, England and the Netherlands and since 2003 in Cyprus.

On  of the main objectives of Friends of Nature Cyprus is conducting research and organizing seminars, workshops and conferences on nature and biodiversity conservation, water and energy management. FoNC works for protecting, cultivating and making people aware of the natural and cultural heritage. Furthermore, promotes the integration between nature conservation and cultural sustainability and they organize outdoor activities.

In 2008 FoNC formed partnership with the UNDP-ACT funded project on “Biodiversity of the Buffer zone in Cyprus”. Additionally, in this year it became member of the Cyprus Environmental Stakeholder Forum
